The dog-friendly section of Volusia County's beach is located between the Rockefeller and Milsap ramps, just east of A1A! Just north of Andy Romano Park in Ormond Beach, leashed pups are welcome on this 0.6 mile of beach between sunrise and sunset, 365 days a year!
Check out one of the ways we are making our area a better place for People and Paws!
Since opening on November 1st, 2023, our volunteers have removed 7,915 pounds of trash from our dog-friendly beach - nearly all of it left behind by humans.
When combined with the 1,270 pounds gathered during the People & Paws monthly beach cleanups we hosted before our beach opened, and the 230 pounds amassed at the 2024 Jimmy Buffett Day Beach Clean-up, we have removed a total of 9,415 pounds of litter from our beaches since July 2021!
This daily effort isn’t just about keeping the sand clean; it’s about protecting wildlife, preserving our coastal ecosystem, and ensuring a safe, welcoming space for dogs and their people.
You can be part of this movement! Whether you join us as a Paw Ambassador or simply pack out what you pack in, your actions matter. Together, we’re proving that a dog-friendly beach can also be a model for environmental responsibility.
